Movie - July 4th Party - Lightning with Fireworks

Auburndale, FL   Hi 96  Lo 75

                                                       CHATROOM   8:30 Eastern

We started the week with a movie  Despicable ME3. It's not as good as the previous movies but still a great family fun movie. We both love the Minions.

July 4th we had a celebration at the clubhouse. We didn't know so many people were still in the park with a total of 136 people eating hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, beans and Klondike Bar for dessert. It was a great time and a few people played Cornhole after the meal. There were a couple tables playing cards. It was a great time and everyone seemed to enjoy it.  (Click on pictures to enlarge).

Jim is in the bottom right.

Our entertainment was Ken on the keyboard. He did a great job.

Playing Stars and Stripes forever.

Lake Juliana has many areas with fireworks around the lake. We noticed that last year. So we sat in the Florida room and watched all around the lake. This year a storm in the west added to the fireworks which made it so much more interesting.

A couple other gals decided to go to the home show in Plant City today. We figured it would be a nice showing of home improvements. It wasn't anything we thought it would be. Only three booths with bathrooms and cupboards. The rest were essential oils, solar, lots of craft items, and a few antique items. We barely stayed an hour so we left for some lunch. We decided on Cracker Barrel and had the campfire meal. They have beef and chicken and it's really good.

The storms are rolling in from all directions this afternoon and we'll be heading out for the DCI (Drum Corps International) in Orlando this evening. I hope the storms are all over by the time we leave.

It's too hot to get out so we're not doing many outside activities. Next week we'll have our son Rick and grandson Jack with us. We'll have a busy week.
