Relaxing and Meeting With RV Friends

(Joliet, IL) Hi 84 Lo 52 -- We're starting to relax more now that we're in a familiar area with family nearby. It's a feeling of relief in a way, we know the RV is now ok and we can take time to enjoy being with family and friends.

I made plans to meet with a long time RV'er that we met through the RV-Dreams.com Chatroom. His name is Rick, but he goes by the name of Shiloh. We met with him and his wife Phyllis at La Cocina, a Mexican restaurant in Coal City, about 25 miles south of us. It was a great place to eat, plus the conversation was great catching up on their lives the past year. Thank you for lunch today and meeting up with us.

While we were out and about we stopped by a Verizon store to get help for my phone. It's running so slow and sluggish that I can't answer calls because it won't respond to my touch before the caller hangs up. It takes forever for apps to come up on the screen. They looked at it and determined it was in bad enough shape that our service plan would replace it. So they ordered a new phone to be shipped to us overnight. Cool!

We came back home and relaxed with recorded TV shows and felt comfortable being on home ground.

See you tomorrow.

Traveling is great, but there is always something special about coming home.

I know what you mean...we enjoy our travels and exploring new places, but there's always something special about being back in the familiar. :) Maybe even more so after being away for a while.

Bonnie and I were having air conditioner problems in July and had time on our hands. Stopping in a verizon store to complain about our batteries we ended up walking out with new telephones (Motorola Droids). The old telephones were two and a half years old and could not hold a charge for the day. The new telephones are also easier to type on for texting.
