Billing to Miles City – Big Sky Camp and RV Park

(Miles City, MT) Hi 85 Lo 56 -- We had a smooth day of traveling yesterday from Billings to Miles City, MT.  (Click on pictures to enlarge)

The terrain in Montana changes drastically as you travel east. We went from rocky formations to rolling hills to flat prairie. The whole trip was very beautiful.

The rest stops on I-94 very often have informative signs telling about the history of the area.

We're staying at Big Sky Camp and RV Park. It's a small park, very clean, and not far from the interstate. It meets our needs for a short visit. And at $20 per night it was a nice price break from what we’ve recently been paying.

And a play area.

The pull through sites are very long. Check out how much space we have for the car and truck.

There's a rocky hill behind the park. If I was younger I’d love to climb it.

This is a quiet park, which fills up by nightfall and then clears out the next morning. Definitely mostly transients.

We want to thank all our readers for continuing to follow us. You make it all worth while. See you tomorrow.

I usually stop for an overnight in Miles City on my way east. There is a fairly short stretch of interstate that I drive and when I get off at Miles City the rest is backroads for me.

That's a perfect park for a few days, or just overnight. Great find!
