Gold Dust West Casino RV Park

(Carson City, NV) Hi 91 Lo 55 -- We've been here for three weeks and haven't said much about the park we’re staying at here in Carson City. It’s been a great place to stay, quiet and with a wonderful view of the mountains behind us. When we first arrived on June 5, there was lots of snow on the peaks. (Click on pictures to enlarge them.)

On the way to Reno you can see a skiing area.

We love this area, and if it wasn’t for the snow and cold in the winter (not to mention the distance from our family) it would be a nice place to live when we end our travels. We’re having fun with our friends George and Linda, and relaxing, before moving on north next week.

I always love views of sunsets and watching storms. We haven't had any storms since we've been here. In fact there's been very little rain, except up in the mountains.

But there have been some nice sunsets.

This evening we went out to dinner with George and Linda. We went to a local place called Red's 395 Grill. It had a rustic decor, featuring old carriages and buggies hanging from the ceiling.

It was a pleasant evening of good food and good conversation.

Our time is winding down here at Carson City, with only one more week left. We're sure not looking forward to saying goodbye to our good friends.

Does the park have a monthly rate?

Frank, yes. The monthly rate for our back-in site is $682 total. A pull-thru is about $50 more.
