(Moab, UT) Hi 62 Lo 54 -- If you’re adventurous and love hiking or getting out in the wilderness, this is the place to be. Moab seems to have an "adventure" shop on every corner offering ATV tours, Jeep tours, hiking adventures, and all kinds of other outdoors type things. OK RV Park is about three miles south of downtown Moab. It's a small park, but very convenient to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. We're glad we made reservations because all of the RV parks in the Moab area are full for the holiday weekend.
Our site
The La Sal Mountains behind us keep getting more and more snow.
This view is in front of us. The sun goes down behind this mountain
A storm was coming in on Friday afternoon, which brought us our first rain in about two months (and some hail!).
Our neighbors came in on Friday night after dark, and when we got up Saturday morning there was a huge tent in our "front yard" and 7 people having breakfast at our picnic table.
They had a pop-up camper in the site, and the tent was for all the kids. The problem is they set up the tent on the wrong side of their camper, which put it right next to our door. Jim went to greet them (that's the back of his head in the photo above). He jokingly said "I didn't know we were having company for breakfast." One of the older kids said "I told you we were on the wrong side." The mom and dad were apologetic and offered to move everything, but Jim told them they seemed like a polite family so they were fine to stay where they are. Besides, the dad is active duty Army and they were here on a long weekend from Colorado Springs, CO. They were gone most of the time during the day and were very quiet in the evening. They packed up and left this morning, maybe because it rained most of the night and this early this morning.
This park offers breakfast every morning on the patio.
For $5 they offer eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, juice and coffee. They’ll also prepare a nice box lunch for you to take on your sightseeing day trip. This is the entrance to the patio.
I slept late this morning. Jim got up early start his annual race watching marathon. First up was the Formula 1 race at Monaco, which he recorded REAL early this morning. When I got up it was almost time for the Indianapolis 500, and this afternoon and evening is the NASCAR Coca Cola 600 from Charlotte. It’s so good to just rest today. It was the perfect day for it, cloudy with spot rain showers. By late afternoon the sun peeked out.
This is a view of the west side of the park. There’s mountains all around us.
This was the sunset last night.
Tomorrow, our last day in Moab, will be another day of sightseeing. Check back tomorrow evening to see what we get into.

Got a little crowded there, didn't it? Put being polite made it OK as long as they don't make a practice of it.
Nice that you treated them so kindly:)
Nice sunset!
Looks like a great park, good deal on breakfast!
