Water Heater - Movie Day

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 75 Lo 57) -- It's been a fast week but I'm not sure what we've accomplished. I played shuffleboard a couple of days, and went to handbell practice. We're still not sure when I'll be performing with the handbell choir. Since there's several of us that won't be in the area on Easter, which is April 20 this year, they may arrange for an earlier performance. We'll see what happens.

We've noticed that our hot water isn't as hot as it should be, either on electric or propane. Jim called Stewart RV, a local dealer we've used before. The only thing they could think of was both the AC and DC thermostats were bad. But while trying to remove one of the thermostats the serviceman broke the retaining shaft that sticks out from the side of the tank. He called Suburban, the manufacturer, and they said that since he can't drill a hole in the side of the heater it has to be replaced. So he'll be coming out on Saturday to install a brand new water heater for us. The good news is, our extended service plan will pay for most of it. All we have to pay is $50 deductible and $25 for the service call. And we'll have a brand new heater with a two-year warranty.

I've been working on another croched baby blanket for Project Linus. I finished it two days ago.

Today we went to see the movie Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. We both liked it. It's like one of the Bourne movies, or a lesser quality James Bond movie. Lots of suspense.

Tonight we're going to play cards and have a few laughs. I've been walking at least three days a week. I'm walking slower but able to go further, and I hope to continue till we leave the area.

Hot water is certainly a nice thing to have. Hopefully they won't break anything else on Saturday.

No way we can walk here. The wind chill is like -5 degrees here. We both need to walk. With the diet we are on we need some exercise to shed some lbs.

Interested in which extended warranty company you have.

That is great that you were able to find a water heater with such a low down payment and a warranty. I didn't know places offered them to customers like that. Now that I do, I will feel confident in purchasing another one myself, because there really is nothing more annoying than taking a cold shower after only having heated water for a few minutes.

I feel for you. Our boiler suddenly started to produce water that was only lukewarm, even after running for a few minutes. We couldn't figure out what the problem was, and so we called out our local heating specialist who quickly found that the boiler needed a replacement thermostat. All is working well now and we have hot water again.
