Movie Day - Spaghetti Dinner

(Avon Park, FL) Hi  61  Lo 39 -- The big topic around here, like the rest of the country, has been the weather. We sympathize with those who live up north. We've had colder weather this year than in past years. We even had frost on our car a couple mornings.

On Wednesday we went to see the movie American Hustle. It sure has gotten great reviews, and even won a Golden Globe for Best Movie, Musical or Comedy. But to us it seemed very ordinary. The acting was great, and it had a good story, but we can think of many movies we saw this year that were better.

After the movie we went to the spaghetti dinner at the clubhouse. The lady in charge has a recipe for the sauce that's been in her family for generations, and it was very good! We had salad, Italian bread, and ice cream for dessert. Here's the activity in the kitchen.

The clubhouse was packed.

Continuing with the subject of food, I saw on Facebook a great way to bake a roll of cinnamon donuts. Put them in a waffle iron for about 3 minutes (or less) and then spread the icing in the little holes. It takes less time and they're great for a fast breakfast or snack.

We just found out that we're listed on the RV Blog Directory Hitchup and Go. It's a great site to visit if you're looking for other RV blogs to read. Enjoy

We had a big day today that we're excited to tell you about. We finally got out on a day trip. We'll tell you all about it (with many photos) tomorrow. Check back then.

so you tried the cinnamon rolls in the waffle iron . . . I've been wanting to. Did it make a mess of your waffle iron?

Thanks for the movie review, we were trying to decide to see it or not.
