A Day with Friends

(Ft. Drum, NY) Hi 62 Lo 34 -- It was just above freezing last night, but today was sunny so it warmed up nicely.

Sandra and Gordon came in from Canada to spend the day with us. We visited them this past weekend. Sandra has never been on a base and wanted to see what our famcamp was like, so they drove over for the afternoon. We went to Watertown for lunch at Ruby Tuesday's, then drove around Watertown to check it out. Sandra and Gordon have been there many times but it was the first time for us. It’s a neat city, with the typical older buildings we’ve been seeing in the northeast.

I like the trim along the top of this building.

We headed back to the base and stopped to show them the commissary and Post Exchange, then they headed back over the border to their home in Smiths Falls, Ontario. It was so great getting to spend another day with our friends. Thanks Sandra and Gordon for the visit.

Freezing?? Not words I like to read. But it sure looks like your day turned out beautiful. Perfect day to spend with good friends.

Loved your pictures today! I lived in Watertown for about 15 years but haven't been back there since I moved to Albany 8 years ago. Very strange (in a good way) to see shots of such a familiar place again. :)
