Take the Last Train to Clarksville

(Clarksville, TN) Hi 78 Lo 59, partly cloudy and perfect for traveling. No rain like predicted. We went to the Burger King here on base for some breakfast, then hitched up and headed out at 10:30. It was an easy trip today of 162 miles. About 30 minutes out of Huntsville we picked up I-65 north to Nashville, then I-24 west to Clarksville, TN, which is a mile from the Kentucky border.

I always worry about getting separated from Jim when we go through a large city. But the traffic around the west side of Nashville was light today, which seems unusual for a workday. I always try to get a picture of a city skyline. (Click on the pictures to enlarge them.)

We arrived at Clarksville RV Park and Campground about 2:00. We have a long pull through site, long enough that we can get both vehicles in without having to park the truck somewhere else. It’s nice here except for the traffic noise on I-24.

We’ll check out a few things in the area tomorrow. It's supposed to rain all day Saturday and Sunday, so it may be a quiet weekend hanging out in the rig. That's OK, we're good at keeping busy doing nothing. :)

You're dating yourself with that song. So, fess up, who was your heart throb, Mickey, or Davey?

Davey is my pick! Rain can be good - much better than snow.

Was this campground once a KOA? The office reminds me of what most KOA campground offices look like.
