It Was One of Those Days! and Mom's Birthday

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 59 Lo 48 --  Today is a very special day, it's my mother's birthday. She's 90 today, what a celebration. My sister sent some pictures of her special party. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM we love you very much!

We had a typical morning. I didn't go shuffling, too much wind and that makes the pucks and sticks hard to handle.

I went to dentist to get my permanent crown put on. I thought I'd be there about 15 minutes. Not so fast... the tooth was very sensitive all last week, and it hurt when he started to remove the temporary crown. Turns out I needed a root canal. It was two and half hours later when I was finally on my way. Now I have to go back again tomorrow to finally have the crown put on. At the same time tomorrow Jim has his appointment for some dental work. He's having a wisdom tooth extracted and some bone grafting done under his upper gum line. Yikes! He's not looking forward to that.

After running a couple of errands in Sebring we stopped on the way home at the Walmart in Avon Park to get some groceries and fill my prescription for antibiotics. Well, they didn't have it, so they sent us to the Walmart in Sebring, back where we just came from. Sheesh! Like I said, it was one of those days. But you know what? We handled it a lot calmer than we would have in our hectic working days. This lifestyle is good for that. :)

We had a light dinner and relaxed the rest of the night. What a day!

Oh no Dee! A day that starts out with a surprise root canal is definitely not a good day! Our sympathies to Jim for tomorrow.

Happy birthday to your mom!!

I agree with the OUCH, dental work is never fun....had a 'one of those days' day last week, by 6 am I just wanted to go home, jump in bed and pull the covers over and pretend I was invisible. Oh well those kind of days just make you really look forward to the next day/
