Today was the farewell luncheon put on by the owners and staff of our park, Adelaide Shores RV Resort. They do this every year to show their appreciation for all the residents and to say goodbye to all the snowbirds. We had a BBQ sandwich, beans, pickle and potato chips. It was so good we both went back for a second helping. (Click on pictures to make them larger.)
It was well attended. Thanks Mike and Debby for the beautiful gesture. We appreciate YOU also, and Cecelia and Dave and the rest of your great staff!
We got to say goodbye to a few people who are leaving in the next few days. We'll see most of them again this fall. The whole park is winding down. There's a lot of washing and waxing of RV's (including ours) getting them ready for summer travels. The people in park models are packing up and moving boxes to their cars. By mid-April mostly all that will be left will be the people that are staying all summer. Last we heard there are about 80 couples who live here in the summer. That's in a park with 400 sites.

I agree that's a pretty nice thing for the park owner to do, and it sounds like a good place to go back to.
I wish Judy and I had been there for the "good bye", maybe next year.
