A Day to Clean and Relax

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 67 Lo 35 -- I decided today was going to be a ME day. I didn't get up till close to 10:30, so I didn't make it to shuffleboard. I took my time in reading blogs and drinking coffee, then we watched the first episode of Amazing Race. There's two hockey playing brothers on the team and one of them (Bates Battaglia) is a former player of our Carolina Hurricanes. We watched him play several years ago when we had season tickets.

I crocheted some on the afghan I'm making and read some blogs. It was warmer today so Jim walked my mile with me then he went on for three more miles at a faster pace. While he was out I swept the carpet and used Resolve to scrub the carpet where we've spilled things lately. It's looking a lot better in here.

We didn't do a lot the rest of the afternoon. Mom got on chat so I got to talk to her awhile. We're going to play cards tonight. It's been a week since we've been with the group.

Our son and daughter in law, who are on a mission trip to Nairobi, Kenya, have a new post on their trip blog. Click here to read it. They're doing very well and are really overwhelmed by what they're experiencing. We're so proud of them!

A couple shots of the sunset tonight. It's neat watching the angle of the sun change from the time we get here to the time we leave.

We all can use some ME time now and then. Judy is at the Pilot Club meeting with her friends and I am at the Black Bird coffee shoppe. So I guess we are enjoying a little me time too. Enjoy cards tonight.

One of the gals here in the park, Pam, came in to play cribbage tonight. She told me that she had had too much togetherness with her hubby today and she told him to go to the store while she played. We all definitely need ME time.

Oh yeah, I like ME time too. Sometimes George takes the workamp shift, and I sit in my jammies all day long :)
