(Avon Park, FL) Hi 68 Lo 51 -- Last night we mentioned that we had a mystery theater play at the clubhouse put on by some residents of the park. The setting of the play was the Gatsby Speakeasy in 1920's Chicago. There were characters named Hal Capone, Zeta Zarbo, Suzy Floozie, and a drunk pilot named Chuck Limburger. The cast did a good job, and our friend Jon did a great job organizing and directing it. Just as Jon promised us, "We laughed until tears ran down our legs."
Kathleen and Jon (the director).
The clubhouse was packed. It's a good thing the fire martial wasn't around. :)
Some of the characters.
Today it was raining when we got up, but the sun came out and it warmed up to the mid-60's by noon. I played shuffleboard walked with Kathleen. Jim did a one hour walk after lunch, and the rest of the afternoon we read and I crocheted till Ken and Cindy arrived from Jacksonville. They're living in their motorhome while Cindy is working in Jacksonville area, and they decided to take a break and come down for the weekend. We went out to eat, then went to the clubhouse where they joined our regular cards group.
Ken and Cindy arriving and preparing to unhook their Jeep.
It's so nice to see Ken and Cindy again. We'll have some fun with them this weekend!

Your mystery theater sounds like a great time. Have a wonderful week-end with your friends.
Looks like they did a great job on the costumes for the murder mystery. Glad that everyone had fun.
