Rain and Getting Cooler... Again!

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 80 Lo 67 -- It's rained most of the morning. It seems like it's rained more since we got here than most of this past year on the road. If this keeps up we'll have to mow our lawn. Yep, we have to mow the grass on our site if it gets too high while we're here. But the park does provide the mower. We're hoping it doesn't grow very fast, we're moving to another site in February.

We went to Walmart in between rain showers to pick up a few items, including a new toilet seat. We got a new toilet last week, and it's a nice one made of porcelain, but the seat is made of flimsy, flexible plastic. So we got a nice wood one and Jim installed it when we got home. Much nicer!

By the time we got back, the rain was just about done for the day so I walked with Judy and Kathleen, then Jim went on his walk. If you're wondering why Jim and I don't walk together, it's because he walks too fast for me, and he likes to listen to his iPod when he walks. And I get to gossip with the gals. :)

I had a more lazy today than yesterday. I read some blogs and worked on the vest. I'm hoping to have it done soon so I can move on to something else. I'm ready for something different to do.

We went out to Ruby Tuesday for dinner with Judy and Jimmy, then played cards this evening. It's supposed to get cold again overnight. The Weatherbug says we're under a wind chill advisory for tomorrow morning, with wind chill in the 20's possible. Brrrr! This if Florida; it's not supposed to get that cold!

I think you might need to look further south next year!! LOL The cold fronts never seem to quite reach us . . . we've had a couple of nights in the upper 40s, and days around 70, but for the most part we've been warmer than that. Being from MI, we actually prefer the low 70s; it gets too humid when it's in the 80s!

Hope things start warming up soon because we'll be heading your way in 9 more days. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.

That's a novel idea - provide the mower and let the RVers mow it themselves. Shouldn't be too much of a job though.

It's cold here too - barely reaching 50 degrees. My house is probably not much warmer than that.

AZ isn't having a very warm winter either. It looks like southern FL is about the only place. It keeps raining in CA.
