Christmas Eve

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 73 Lo 48 -- MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We had light rain off and on most of the day, just enough to be annoying. I did get out for some supplies for tomorrow's Christmas potluck. I went to Walmart first, but it was so crowded I couldn't find a parking spot, so I went to a nearby Winn-Dixie instead. On the way back home I stopped at a health food store for some flax seed, which was recommended by the dietitian in the class we took last week. Now to learn what to do with it. :-)

Jim did the laundry and I played games. It seems most people were home playing games today. I love it! I also did a two-mile walk with Kathleen and Judy. Judy came to get me just as it quit raining.

We've been having a lot of trouble with our toilet leaking. We had it checked out by Stewart RV Parts and Service in Avon Park. Their mobile service is wonderful! They determined it would cost less to replace the toilet than to repair it, and they got our extended warranty service to agree with them. So today they came out to install our new Dometic 310 toilet.

George, the service tech, installing our new toilet.

It's residential unit similar to the Thetford brand we had, but with a much, much better flushing action. And it cost us only $50.00 (our deductible).

Our son sent us a picture that reminded us of his younger days. He used to love taking things apart (or, as we called it, "destroying" things). His rear projection TV pooped out for good, so he decided to see what's inside it. Here's all the parts on his basement room floor.

Luckily he didn't have to put it back together, so to the dump it went.

Tonight we went to the Union Church Christmas Eve candlelight service. It was very nice.

It's nice to keep the true meaning of Christmas in our hearts in this commercialized age. Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas guys!

Mix your flax with your cereal (hope you bought it ground up). Sometimes I put it in my stirfry. I also have a recipe for a single flax muffin that I can send to you if you want.
