Pizza With the Family

(Scott AFB, IL)  Hi 57 Lo 45 -- There's an old saying around here that if you don't like the weather, wait a day and it'll change. We went from 80 degrees yesterday to 45 this morning and only 57 for today's high. Thankfully I didn't put away our little ceramic heater yet, so Jim got up and turned it on early this morning.

I got up a little earlier so we went to the base Golf Club for a breakfast buffet. I had an appointment at 10am to get my hair cut, and I got there fifteen minutes early and got right in. It pays to be early sometimes; I was in and out almost before my scheduled appointment time. We went to the base pass & ID office to get my military ID renewed, but their computers were down. We'll have to do that another day.

Late this afternoon we went to Papa John's and picked up some pizzas and took them to son Frank's for family dinner. We had a great time playing with the kids.  Of course we have to show off our family with a few pictures. (Click on pictures to make them larger.)

I didn't walk today, but I did play some basketball with Kendall.

We watched the NASCAR Nationwide race and when it was over we left for home. Tomorrow will be wild. We get to watch Kendall play in two basketball games in the morning, then early tomorrow afternoon our younger son Rick will arrive from the Chicago area for a family celebration of Frank's 40th birthday. (BOY do we feel old!) We have a big evening out planned for tomorrow night.

The blog may be real late tomorrow night, but it will be done.
