Last Day with Mom and Sis

(Moscow Mills, MO) Hi 57 Lo 43 -- Thunder woke us up in the middle of the night, and Jim got up to check the radar to be sure there was no severe weather in our area. We were on the western edge of a line of storms, and it turned out to be just a little rain. So we both went back to sleep.

I made a beef and bean casserole for our dinner at Sis's tonight, then we went over to to be with my family for our last day here. Mom loves puzzles and so does my sister and I. We’ve been working on finishing a big 1000 piece puzzle since we came last week. They finished it last night.  The pieces were really little, and as you can see one is missing. It escaped and got into the sweeper.

So, we started another one, only this one was 500 pieces. It was very chilly and windy out, so instead of going out by the pond we worked on the puzzle while Jim and Herm watched sports on TV. The only other things we did was eat and walk the dogs.

It’s been a fun and fast week visiting with everyone in the area and being with mom, Doris and Herm. She’s so much better than when we left her at the assisted care facility back in October. We’re proud of Doris and Herman for taking care of her. Thanks so much guys!

Tomorrow we’re on the way to spend more time with family, this time to see the grandkids. Can't wait!

I'm so happy to read that your Mom is doing so much better. That's really great news.
