A Day Off

(Richmond, VA) Hi 78 Lo 58 - Cloudy - We thought all the rain would be gone but it threatened all day so we didn't do much outside. There's a few things we'd like to do with the RV and car but we're waiting to be sure it's not going to rain.

The only thing we did was go to Walmart to get some groceries.  We've been eating out a lot, but we needed breakfast foods. On the way home we stopped at McGeorge's Rolling Hills RV Center. It was a good chance to check out some new Carriage products to see what, if anything, they've changed since we bought Tumbleweed. They had a couple of Cameos on the lot, but they were sold so we couldn't look them over. We did look at a new brand of fifth wheel, Redwood. It looked a lot like a Carriage, which is no surprise because the company was started by an ex-President of Carriage, Inc. It was very nice, and seemed to be  built well. The brand is only one year old, though, so it has no track record yet, as far as quality. While there we were told by the sales manager that they are dropping the Carriage brand. He kind of hinted that it was due to some disagreements between them and the Carriage factory. That was disappointing to hear.

We stayed in and enjoyed an afternoon of TV and computers. We're still tweaking our route to Canada and researching RV parks. During the evening we watched the Craftsman Truck race from Charlotte.
