Racing Begins - Life Now Changes

Jim left for work for the last time today. It's a weird feeling but neither of us will get the full effect till Monday morning when he doesn't go to work. I noticed it a couple weeks later after I quit (it felt more like a vacation).

Our son sent a picture of our grandson, Jack. He's growing so fast. We're so excited to know we'll spend time with him this summer. I can't wait!

I tried to get a haircut today. I was there before the lunch crowd and waited for 20 minutes for the two gals to finish the customers they were working on. Then another worker came in and an older woman about the same time. The one worker took the older woman and the worker that had just came in started putting stock up. I walked out after waiting 40 minutes. I still need a haircut, but I'm not going anywhere special and there's no one I'm trying to impress so I will wait.

I love the internet options now days. I wanted to cancel a catalog we keep getting and don't want anymore. We can order online if we need something. I went to their website and up popped up a "can I help you box". It was chat live. I told the person I wanted to cancel the catalog, he asked for the name and address, a few seconds later he writes, "you're canceled, is there anything else?" Wow, now that's service. I now have faith back that there is good customer service.

We watched the two 150 mile races from Daytona. They were both very close racing and both were bumper to bumper endings. It's going to be a great year of racing.

Thank you to all the new readers. We welcome you and hope you follow along. We're still waiting to hear from the dealer before moving. We're ready for our new life on the road.

We love that 'live operator - can I help you" - even if there is a store close by, the physical store employees are never that nice or helpful. So, our hard earned money goes to the online withe the live operator. Training of staff to interact in person with a customer is very lacking. Perhaps that could be my new career 'on the road' - training in store staff on people skills! Congrats on full retirement we hope to be there this year as well!

It is wonderful to have such a great future opening up before you two. We are so glad you are sharing it with us, step by step. And your grandson is gonna keep you hopping, I am sure! Bet he can't wait to come and play in Grandma's and Grandpa's cool moving house....
