Leveling More - Bird Dog

This is the road looking toward our site at the far left end.

We slept really good which is what we needed after a stressful weekend. We both felt better this morning and after reading all the comments and emails we're not alone in our mishap. We want to thank Speedy (Joe) for the call this morning, an RV-Dreamer we met in Branson in 2008.

After eating breakfast, Jim worked on getting the 5er more level. It crunched a few times then he noticed it wasn't quite right, like a "twist" that made the front levels not meet. That's where Joe came in handy in giving us a suggestion on what to do. With the help of our neighbor they got it level and not twisted. It looks like the hitch needs a bit of adjusting for a quicker hookup. Jim hasn't had too much trouble, but it's off a bit on a smooth slide into the hitch. We'll get that looked at when we go back to the dealer. The underbelly seems to be drooping a lot more so we're not moving till all the parts are in and we'll head back to the dealer. We're hoping it holds up till we get there. The tanks are higher up so we think they'll be ok. The other thing we have to watch is the weather. We're hoping we can take it up when there's no ice/snow/rain. It's still winter and NC February's are usually the worst month for bad weather.

Jim had to move the satellite dish again to hookup to the rig. He had the dish guy come out earlier this morning to set it up. Luckily, when he put it back it worked. Jim bought an older model Bird Dog Satellite finder from the Dish guy, so now he's studying on how to use it. It has all the satellites in it since it was the Dish guys personal finder. We lucked out on that one.

We both stayed on the computers looking up and searching different things. I read some blogs and emails and focused on Florida and NC parks. Once we leave our little park and get repairs, we'll be headed to Florida. Jim's mom will finally get to see the rig, she's on the route.
