Checking RV Parks in the Rain

Thank you for all the congrats comments on being RETIRED! It's going to take awhile to get used to not thinking of doing things around working hours. All day I was getting ready for our move on Thursday but thinking I can do this or that after work on Monday, then remember I don't have to wait till I get off work, there is NO WORK.

We didn't do much in the morning and since it was raining we waited till lunch time to go scouting out RV parks. Jim heard at work they had parking at Plemmons RV sales near where he works so we wanted to check it out. We still have Dickens RV park for a nice park to stop, but this one would be a lot closer. Once we got there, it didn't take long to find it's not in consideration at all. It was behind a lot of new and used RV's very hard parking, especially for someone brand new at it and very cramped. We're not sure if we can even get the the slides out. Since it was raining it was super muddy and deep holes to even get into the parking spots.

We went on E70 to the area we thought of before and found Coopers. It's in Clayton and looks very possible for our park for a month. Buffaloes was the one we've thought of before which is just one mile down the road for Coopers. We're sure now of going to one of those while Jim is working. We'll still load up the RV while at the State Fairgrounds then move it to the park near Jim's work.

I wondered all day if I should put up the tree up in the apartment or wait till we get in the RV and decorate that instead, or to decorate both places. Where are we going to be the week of Christmas. By the time we got back home, I decided to put up our tree one more time in the apartment. It's got the lights already on it, I just need to add the ornaments. I'll sell it after Christmas, hopefully someone will want it.

I hope you get a park with a nice wide pull through space. There are too many worries at first, and making it easy on yourself as you can will help alleviate some of the nervousness. Good luck.
